Pop of Leopard

Hi Everyone!
Do you ever have those items that unexpectedly become wardrobe staples?  This coat is one of them.  I never thought that such a loud in your face type of piece would become one of my favorites.  I love that I can throw on a simple outfit and add this as my topper to add immediate style to the most simplistic of looks.  As I type this post, I currently have it on and have it styled another way (with jeans and a simple black tunic…look for that post in the next few weeks).  It is so versatile.  I can't wait to style it again.
What pieces have been that way for you?
xoxo,
Abbie

.:Stripes & Leaves:.

//Sweater: Piperlime (old; loving this one & NEEDing this one)// Leather Pants:  Ann Taylor (this year's version) // Flats:  Steve Madden // Handbag:  Celine // Necklace:  H&M (similar here & here)//

I have to say that I'm really getting used to this whole Fall wardrobe thing.  I absolutely love pulling out my cozier pieces.  This cozy outfit was perfect for my sleepy self today.

On a ramble note, I was happy to have one of my best friends subbing in the classroom next to me (and therefore having a lunch date with me) to help perk up my long day.  I spend the night eating dinner with the hubby and indulging in the book Gone Girl (How have I not already read this?!?).  I am absolutely determined to have the book read before we see it in theaters.  In just a few short hours, I'm already a quarter of the way through it!  If you haven't read it yet, it's a must read!

Abbie

.:Last Days of Summer:.

//Cardigan:  Loft (old; similar) // Tee:  Victoria's Secret // Necklace:  TJ Maxx (identical pricier version) // Sunnies:  Chanel // Jeans:  Hudson Nico // Flats:  Kenneth Cole via Marshalls (similar; love these)//

To me, nothing spices up a bland outfit better than an exciting shoe and statement necklace.  By updating classic pieces with small punches of color/texture, you can easily take a bland outfit to the next level.  I spent today relishing in the last few hours of vacation.  I go back to work tomorrow…back to putting together my classroom for my new 25 first graders & sitting through meetings that will guide our year.  While I am so excited to go back and see my colleagues, friends, and new students, I will incredibly miss the freedom that I've had the past few months.  I have to say, after having a fabulous summer filled with getting married to the love of my life and a fabulous Hawaiian honeymoon, I've had the best summer of my life!
