.:Hearts:.

//Top:  Loft// Denim:  Hudson// Shoes: J.Crew (similar)//

Sometimes, believe it or not, you don't need tons of accessories.  I felt as though this blouse spoke for itself.  It didn't need to compete with a strong necklace.  It was able to stand on its own.  I paired it with some sweet bow pumps to polish off the look.  Hope you're week is winding down beautifully!

.:Neon Camo:.

//Sweater:  Loft // Necklaces:  J.Crew (identical)// Skirt:  J.Crew (old; similar)// Pumps:  J.Crew (old; love these so much)//

There are few things when creating an outfit that I love more than pairing unexpected combinations of girly vs boyish pieces.  The toughness of the camouflage sweater is softened and made girly with the addition of neon pink & sparkles.  I can imagine this sweater so many ways and can't wait to wear it again.  I picture it with a lace skirt or with distressed skinnies and nude pumps.

.:Stripes:.

//Sweater:  Loft (similar)// Necklace: Nest (this season's version; TJMaxx has also been carrying a similar option)// Pants:  Gap// Shoes:  Steve Madden// Handbag:  Celine// Sunnies:  Chanel//

Every now and then I wake up feeling blah and have no desire to dress up.  These are the days where I reach for my uniform.  To me, my uniform is a striped top and leopard flats.  I know that I will have a bit of polish without much effort.  Do you have a go to outfit when you aren't feeling up for getting dressed?

.:Labor Day Weekend Haul:.

I did a little Labor Day Weekend shopping and thought that I would share my finds with you!  Most of the items are still on sale!

This candle smells like complete heaven.  After I brought it home, I was stunned at how much fragrance it filled our home with.  I will be purchasing more of these lovelies when this runs out.

Bath & Body Works had these candles on sale for $11 at my local store.  That being said, I couldn't pass it up!

Pottery Barn:
The hubs and I had one last wedding gift card for the glorious pottery barn.  We spent it on the following two items.  I have placed the arrow cloche on our bookcase in our living room and have purchased 3 of the pillows to use as Euro pillows on our bed.  I absolutely love them!

I stared at these pumps for a few weeks before I bit the bullet on them.  They seem wonderful and I can't wait to wear them this week.  The best part about this fabulous pair of shoes is that I got them for 40% off!

In my mind, camo is never a bad idea.  I picture this with a hot pink pencil skirt or a lace skirt to add a girlie edge to an otherwise boyish ensemble.  It is still 40% off!

I ran out of my foundation and needed to pick up a new one.  I wore MAC for years.  As much as I love it, it breaks me out like no other!  This LM foundation doesn't!  I love the simple to use formula and easy packaging! For those curious, I wear number 5.

.:Last Days of Summer:.

//Cardigan:  Loft (old; similar) // Tee:  Victoria's Secret // Necklace:  TJ Maxx (identical pricier version) // Sunnies:  Chanel // Jeans:  Hudson Nico // Flats:  Kenneth Cole via Marshalls (similar; love these)//

 To me, nothing spices up a bland outfit better than an exciting shoe and statement necklace.  By updating classic pieces with small punches of color/texture, you can easily take a bland outfit to the next level.  I spent today relishing in the last few hours of vacation.  I go back to work tomorrow…back to putting together my classroom for my new 25 first graders & sitting through meetings that will guide our year.  While I am so excited to go back and see my colleagues, friends, and new students, I will incredibly miss the freedom that I've had the past few months.  I have to say, after having a fabulous summer filled with getting married to the love of my life and a fabulous Hawaiian honeymoon, I've had the best summer of my life!

.:Dots & Stripes:.

Sweater:  J.Crew (adorable as well) // Skirt:  Loft (similar; also similar) // Necklace:  J.Crew (factory version) // Pumps:  Nine West //

I love jeans…more than anyone should.  However, at times, jeans become so very boring.  I have decided to start, no matter what, switching up pants for a skirt or dress at least once a week (at least while the weather is gorgeous)!  Skirts create such a different vibe to your look and often elevate your style to a point that is oh so very fancy without really trying.

Tip:  While this outfit has different patterns in it, it works because the patterns don't compete with one another.  Print mixing is easy as long as one pattern is stronger than the other.  The small dots and large stripes also complement one another because they carry colors from the same color family (blue).

.:Blanket Scarf & Stripes:.

//Blanket Scarf:  Zara // Striped Sweater:  Loft // Denim:  Paige (similar) // Flats:  Steve Madden (though I actually wore these with the outfit for the day)//

Spring has almost fully sprung here.  However, I'm clinging to the last bits of Winter while I still can.  I'm one of those crazy people that would much rather be cold.  We moved about an hour away from our old home.  However, the temperatures could be up to about 30 degrees different between the two places.  Our old home always had fog that rolled in and cooled everything way down at night (which I weirdly loved) and our new home does not.  In the summer, the heat lingers here.  That said, I'm grasping every bit of cold air while it's still semi lingering.
