Today was such a relaxing day.  I spent the day bumming around the house having a little me time.  These kind of days call for super simple outfits.  For a casual day like this one, stripes and leopard are my go to combination.

Hi Everyone!  I hope your weekend was absolutely glorious!  The future H and I went to San Francisco Saturday for a day trip.  We go to the city about 4 times a year to visit my beloved hair stylist (yes, I'm the crazy girl that drives 2 hours to get a haircut…my hair stylist is the ONLY one who has my ultimate trust with my hair) and shop Union Square/Financial District.  After getting my last haircut before the wedding, we shopped and took in the sites.  We then ventured to catch up with friends for dinner on the way home.  Needless to say, it was the PERFECT Saturday.  While we may live in the country, and I may have grown up in one of the smallest towns, I really feel like the city is a second home.  Visiting the city makes me so incredibly happy and refreshed.  Stay tuned to find out the one purchase that I made while there…

.:Bridal Shower Bliss:.

I cannot believe that our wedding is a measly 22 days away!   Wedding prep is in full swing & I've already had my glorious bridal shower that was hosted by my bridal party about a month ago.  I couldn't have asked for anything better!  My bridesmaids & my bridesman totally nailed the Tiffany Blue theme and left me smiling from ear to ear from all of the love.  For more shower details, please head on over to Wedding Paper Divas blog today.

Prior to the shower, I had my hair and makeup trial for the wedding.  While I think I would prefer a little more volume in my hair and a little more lipstick/blush, the girls gave me a great preview of the day of!  It was nice to feel ultra fancy for my shower!

I am head over heels for this skirt.  I wish I was able to wear it more often.  It's beyond girly and comfortable!  I wore it recently for my bridal shower (posting about that tomorrow) and plan to hopefully wear it for another occasion before our wedding next month!  The morning of my bridal shower I got my hair and makeup professionally done as a trial for the wedding.  I wish I would have been able to do full blown outfit pictures with it like that.  These pictures were taken with minimal makeup before the trail.  Let me just say…hair and makeup make a HUGE difference!  That said, I did happen to get quite a few pictures in the outfit at my shower with my bridal party.  Tune in tomorrow to get a sneak peak of my wedding hair and makeup and hear a little about my shower!

I had lunch with my mom today and after telling her that I felt like my outfit didn't necessarily "match"

but I liked it that way, she reminded me that that is how I always was as a child.  She took me down memory lane discussing how I always had some crazily mismatched outfit on that I had concocted.  While it wasn't always what I'm sure that she preferred that I wore as a child, I am so thankful that she fostered the sense of wear what makes you happy.  To me, dressing is an art form…I'm terrible at drawing, painting, and the like.  However, mixing & matching pieces together to create something glorious is where my heart is…I literally spend hours in my closet piecing things together when I need some uplifting feelings to present themselves.

This post may be a bit rambly…I've been working non-stop trying to close my classroom out for the school year and am having issues formulating decent sentences! :)  

The future H and I went for a walk around the family's vineyard next to our house…It's so gorgeous and we feel so lucky to have it in our backyard!

Back to clothing...

Do you ever have a clothing combo that you just can't seem to quit wanting to wear?  Lately for me, it has been the combination of leopard and camo. 

By the way, this leather jacket is by far my favorite of any that I have worn.  It is so incredibly soft and goes with everything.

Blues have always been my favorite color to wear.  However, most of the time, my favorite shade has been of the turquoise variety.  Lately, I find myself extremely gravitated toward cobalt.  This dress is so fun and it doesn't hurt that it's in my newfound color love.  Hope your week is going exceptionally well!  I've been busy finalizing wedding details and wrapping up the year in first grade here with grading, report cards, student records, and end of the year shenanigans.
