.:Holiday Look Part 3:.

 //Shirt:  Forever 21 (love this identical one)// Vest:  Banana Republic (old; love this) // Pants:  Gap // Heels:  Sam Edelman (purchasing these asap)//

Thanksgiving is almost here.  This week I have featured a few holiday looks that I feel would be great to wear for Thanksgiving.  Truth be told, it's hard for me to pick just one outfit that I would love to wear to holiday dinners. (See looks 1 & 2 here & here)

Once again in this holiday look, I am featuring fur.  I absolutely love the elegance & timeless appeal that fur adds to an outfit.  The linked vest is a stunner and will be great for years to come.

I am never one to believe in fashion rules.  I think they are ridiculous.  I absolutely believe that you should wear what you want no matter the season.  Furthermore, I feel that white pants can be such a great refreshing winter staple if styled correctly.  They always add such a clean appeal to any outfit.  That being said, I feel as though fashion rules do not apply as long as you style them in accordance to the season.

Stay tuned for a Black Friday post coming later this week!

.:Holiday Look Part 2:.

//Vest:  Banana Republic (this year's version) // Shirt:  J.Crew (love this one & 30% off!!!) // Pants:  Ann Taylor (love these to death) // Flats:  Tory Burch (on sale!) //  Necklace:  Stella & Dot //

In my family, Thanksgiving is all about family time and being comfortable.  We never really get super dressed up for Thanksgiving.  If you know me at all, you know I am normally a wee bit overdressed for any occasion.  That being said, this outfit allows for a full day of food and comfort.

These leggings are so very comfortable.  The "leather" adds a dressy factor to them.  The Express ones that I have linked above are even better.  They're so good that I have heavily debated purchasing a second pair because I wear them that often.

The faux fur vest is one of my wardrobe favorites.  Fur instantly dresses up an outfit.  The plaid shirt is so comfy cozy and loose enough to endure tons of delicious food on Thanksgiving.

These shoes are so holiday ready!  I love the sparkly bows!  The best part about them is that they are on sale for around $100 off of their regular price!

Stay tuned later this week for Black Friday talk!

.:Holiday Look 1:.

//Scarf:  Express //  Sweater:  J.Crew (identical & 40% off) // Denim:  Hudson // Boots:  Tory Burch (similar here)// Handbag:  Clare Vivier //

With Thanksgiving being this week, I plan to showcase a look that I would wear to Thanksgiving Dinner!  I love the comfy boyfriend sweater that allows you to eat a ton without feeling uncomfortable. These sweaters have become my all time fall favorite this year!

These over the knee boots are my love right now.  I just cannot get enough of them.   They literally go with everything and I plan to still be wearing them next fall!  I view them as an investment piece.  You will have them forever.

The fur scarf adds some visual interest and keeps you comfy cozy.

Ohhhh….can we talk about this amazing handbag?!  She came in the mail late last week.  I have to tell you, she is worth every penny of full price.  While I was able to get her on sale (I'm sure a great black friday sale is coming), I would completely pay full price for her.  The leather is amazingly supple and the calf hair is really well done!  My advice:  she's a must have!

Keep your eyes peeled as the week goes on for a BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING LIST here on the blog.  Hope your Thanksgiving week is amazing!

.:FALL COLORS & a Fab New Handbag (ON SALE!):.

 //Sweater:  Banana Republic // Scarf:  Asos // Leggings:  Express // Flats:  Steve Madden//

As Turkey Day approaches, I find myself gravitating toward Fall colors in my wardrobe.  I find myself loving burnt orange, yellow, and all shades of brown & gray.  This scarf completely screams fall to me. The wonderful colors and blanket-like appeal make it a fantastic basic for everyone.  It's something that would be wonderful to give as a gift to your mom or girlfriends.

These leggings have gotten so much use!  I love them so very much that I'm actually debating picking up another pair because I am finding myself wearing them at least once a week.

My new little lovely came in the mail today.  She is beautiful.  I could not be happier with her and am so glad that I decided to snatch her up!  The best part is that until the end of the day tomorrow, she is on sale for 25% off!!!!  Click here to purchase & use the code "BESTEVER".

.:Chunky Sweaters:.

//Sweater:  Gap (old; love this nearly identical inexpensive one) // Shirt:  J.Crew (love this) // Leggings:  Express // Flats:  Steve Madden//

Fall layers are where it's at.  I feel like I am on constant repeat talking about how much I love Fall and how excited I am to be layering.  Sorry.  The truth is, I just can't get over the fact that I actually like the clothes that are in my closet right now.  All summer I was annoyed with my wardrobe because it never quite felt like the perfect outfit.  I'm starting to learn that I live for cold weather.  I hate the heat because I cannot layer.

That being said, the ability to take a button up and layer a chunky sweater on top of it makes me smile.  In order to balance out such a chunky sweater, I opted for skinny leggings and slim flats to help elongate my frame.  My biggest Fall and Winter tip is if you do decide to add on bulkier layers, make sure that the rest of your outfit fits closely to your body so that it doesn't overwhelm or add weight to your frame.

.:Sweater Weather:.

//Sweater:  Kohls (also love this option here) // Shirt:  J.Crew Factory // Denim:  Paige // Boots:  Tory Burch (this year's version)// Clutch:  The Providence Story via Etsy (WANTING this one)

Sweater weather is here.  I am completely falling in love with layering.  My absolute favorite way to currently layer is by taking a button up and layering on top a turtleneck sweater.  The cuffs, bottom, and collar of the shirt peek out to create some visual interest.

These boots are amazing!  I am still loving them a year later.  Tory Burch has a very similar version out this year and THEY ARE ON SALE!!!

This clutch is still one of my absolute favorites.  I actually am contemplating upgrading to this one since I use it so very much!

//Sweater:  Forever 21 // Shirt:  Forever 21 (love this) // Denim:  Paige // Boots:  Tory Burch (this season's version…on SALE!!!) // Clutch:  The Providence Story (love this even more!) //

For some reason, Fall brings out my inner prepster.  I absolutely gravitate back toward classic pieces such as this super affordable (& well made) turtleneck from Forever 21.  The striped shirt underneath it gives it a modern and young edge to keep it from looking too mature.  The boots are such an amazing buy and I would highly recommend them as you will have them for years to come! My favorite part about all of these pieces is that they are timeless.  I can still imagine myself wearing them years from now because of their classic lines.  These classic pieces are the kind of pieces that you should build your wardrobe around!

//Sweater:  Target // Scarf:  ASOS // Denim:  Hudson // Boots:  Minnetonka // Sunnies:  Tiffany & Co//

Four Things:

This inexpensive sweater from target is so soft and cuddly…and it's in one of the best colors known to mankind!

The scarf is wonderfully huge and could envelop my entire body.. it adds to much warmth and texture to an outfit!

Every now and then, I love to bring out my what I refer to as "hippie boots"…my husband on the other hand completely despises them.  I love the playful and interesting nature that they add to an outfit.  Despite what others may think, I absolutely love them.  Sometimes, you just have to dress for you…after all, if we dressed for men, we would just run around naked all of the time right? lol!

This weekend, I also purchased a new wonderful handbag.  Clare Vivier is never on sale…except for right now.  This bag is 30% off with the code "holiday30" until the 18th.  Grab her while you can because time is ticking!

Hope you had an amazing weekend!

.:Puffer Love:.

//Vest: J.Crew (factory version here..on sale!) // Sweater:  J.Crew (love) // Pants:  Express // Flats:  Steve Madden // Necklace:  H&M (old; love this) //

Fall days are officially on us.  That means, I'm obsessed with sweaters and puffer vests.  I love the combination of a good vest and statement necklace to spice up a boring sweater/pant outfit.

.:Transitioning a Summer Dress into Fall:.

//Dress:  J.Crew (similar) // Sweater:  Loft // Scarf:  Stella & Dot (similar) // Boots:  Tory Burch (this season's model)

One of my goals this fall is to continue to wear dresses.  That being said, how I wore my dresses this summer will no longer cut it.  However, taking that same sleeveless dress, and adding a cardigan, scarf, and boots easily makes it fall appropriate.

Furthermore, if you didn't catch yesterday's blogpost, these Tory Burch boots are on MEGA SALE.  Scoop them up to go with everything from skinnies to leggings to skirts to dresses as soon as possible because your size will sell out fast!!!

Find them at the following links:  Black (here & here) & Brown (here & here)

Happy Shopping!
