New Year's Eve Inspiration

Happy Monday!
  I hope everyone had a great holiday!  I throughly enjoyed spending some time with my loved ones and celebrating!

Now that Christmas is over, I am now getting myself ready for New Year's Eve!  With that coming at the end of the week, now is the perfect time to plan your outfit.  Whether you are staying in and watching the ball drop or headed to a fabulous bash, an outfit that helps you celebrate with a smile is a must!  I am loving all things feathery, fringe, and of course, sparkly for New Year's Eve!  Here are some of the many pieces that I've been adoring for later on this week.

I'm dreaming of outfits made of white and blush lately.  Spring is here in California, and I am celebrating by wearing my spring pieces.  This is by far, my favorite color palette for spring!
Thanks for stopping by!

//Sweater:  J.Crew Factory// Skirt:  Banana Republic (identical)// Pumps:  Sam Edelman (similar)// Necklace:  J.Crew (identical)// Clutch:  The Providence Story//

I've been enjoying the last days of Summer weather here by wearing some of my favorites while the weather still permits.  Nothing beats a girly skirt and some leopard!

.:Tweed:.

 //Jacket: Zara (old; DYING for this one)// Tee:  Victoria's Secret// Pants:  Loft (old; similar)// Shoes:  Banana Republic// Necklace:  Moose & Nigel c/o//

Lately I've had a thing for remixing old pieces from my closet into my current wardrobe.  My impulse to shop hasn't been as strong and I've taken to shopping my own closet instead.  I have to say I hope that this outlook lasts.  This tweed blazer is about two years old and I am back in love with it. I am trying so very hard to convince myself that the cost per worth of the one linked above is worth it.  I am THISclose to purchasing it.  Most of my tweed jackets in my wardrobe I've had for years and feel as though they are timeless.  Oh the great shopping debate!

This necklace is beyond adorable!  I love the natural stone with the glam details!  Moose & Nigel have been so kind as to offer all of my readers 10% off using the code: TIFFANYBLUE10.

.:Accessories Count:.

//Sweater:  J.Crew Factory (similar)// Skirt:  Banana Republic (old; identical here)// Pumps:  old; wanting these // Necklace:  Stella & Dot//

Accessories can change a look.  This mint sweater & gingham skirt combo has been a go to for days when I am not sure what to wear for months.  One easy way to wear the same thing over and over again while still keeping it fresh is by changing your accessories.  For this look, I opted for my fabulously fringed Pegasus Necklace & fun leopard pumps.  However, in the past I have opted for a girlier necklace and spikey pumps in order to keep the look young and fun.

Using the same basics, I have also opted for a classic look with basic nude heels and stacked necklaces.

 Accessories add a breath of fresh air into your wardrobe.  Which look is your favorite?

.:Chambray Stripes:.

//Shirt:  J.Crew Factory (super similar) // Necklaces:  J.Crew (identical here & here) // Skirt:  Loft (old; love this one) // Heels:  J.Crew (old; craving these desperately)//

I go through phases of extremes.  I either love super comfy, cozy boyfriend-esque looks or those that are filled with supreme amounts of femininity.  This week seems to hold a feminine feel.  I find myself drawn to skirts like crazy.  I would love to add quite a few more to my wardrobe as I always tend to feel better about myself when I'm dressed in one with heels on.  What outfit type makes you feel the best?

.:Cobalt:.

//Dress:  Banana Republic (on sale!) (super similar) // Heels:  J.Crew (old) // Necklace:  Nest via Neiman Marcus//

I am so elated that the weekend is almost here!  It's been a scorching 105* most of the week and I've so enjoyed wearing dresses/skirts this week!  I cannot wait to spend some time at home in the sun this weekend!  Hope your week was amazing!

.:On Repeat:.

Sweater: J.Crew Factory // Skirt:  Banana Republic (on sale in stores now!) // Shoes:  Kohls (love these) // Necklaces (top to bottom):  J.Crew Factory & Turban Space c/ o//

Sometimes we fall in love with pieces that we can't help but wear over and over again. When I got this skirt a month ago (which it is now available on sale in stores), I knew it would be on constant repeat. To keep these kind of repeated looks look fresh and new, I often change out the shoes and jewelry to help breathe a breath of fresh air into an otherwise "old" look.

//Necklaces:  Shop Urbanite ℅ // Sweater:  J.Crew Factory // Skirt:  J.Crew // Pumps:  Sam Edelman (similar)//

Wedding planning is in full swing in our house right now!  I managed to book a photo booth, finish ordering burlap and large mercury glass candle holders for our centerpieces, and successfully complete registering this weekend!  I actually think that this was the one rare instance where the future H liked "shopping" more than I did.  :) I had the future H hold the scanning gun while we walked around registering and I think that alone put a huge grin on his face.  Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend as well!

.:San Francisco Dreaming:.

//Blazer:  Banana Republic (similar) // Tee:  Victoria's Secret // Scarf:  Alexander McQueen (on sale!) // Denim:  Paige (similar) // Flats:  Steve Madden//

The Future H & I spent Saturday in San Francisco.  While we live in the country now, and I grew up in a very small town, I'm starting to feel like I am somehow a city girl at heart.  I absolutely love visiting the city. There's something almost magical that it holds over me.  I use our trips to the city as a way to gain fashion inspiration and add to my wish list.  Sometimes, I come home with a new prized possession and other times, I leave the city and save for months in order to get something on my wish list.  This trip brought home this fantastically timeless Alexander McQueen scarf (and a fantastically priced pair of Tory Burch kitten heels (75% off!!!)).  I apologize ahead of time for the abundance that you will be seeing the scarf in future posts!  That said, Regardless of if I'm shopping shopping or just window shopping, nothing beats shopping in San Francisco!

.:Dots & Stripes:.

Sweater:  J.Crew (adorable as well) // Skirt:  Loft (similar; also similar) // Necklace:  J.Crew (factory version) // Pumps:  Nine West //

I love jeans…more than anyone should.  However, at times, jeans become so very boring.  I have decided to start, no matter what, switching up pants for a skirt or dress at least once a week (at least while the weather is gorgeous)!  Skirts create such a different vibe to your look and often elevate your style to a point that is oh so very fancy without really trying.

Tip:  While this outfit has different patterns in it, it works because the patterns don't compete with one another.  Print mixing is easy as long as one pattern is stronger than the other.  The small dots and large stripes also complement one another because they carry colors from the same color family (blue).
